Where did the 2 of you meet?
“We met in December of 2015 while we were both vacationing separately in Cartagena, Colombia for winter vacation. We had a kismet meeting in a town square and the rest is history.”
What was the inspiration behind the engagement shoot?
“When planning for our Parisian engagement photoshoot I wanted to make sure that I was comfortable with the photographer’s communication style. Ophélie was very warm, friendly and accommodating throughout our email communications. Ophélie was just as nice and kind in person as she was through email.”
Any advice for future brides planning their engagement shoot in Paris?
“I would suggest looking online or Instagram to determine the locations where you want your photos taken. It’s very important to check the weather as the weather in Paris fluctuates often and a backup outfit may be needed depending on the temperature. I suggest that women wearing heels bring a separate pair of flats to change into if you have to travel to different locations for the shoot.”
What inspired your style for the day?
“When choosing our outfits for the photoshoot we wanted colours that would stand out against the grey Parisian sky. I chose a colourful floral dress by Charles Henry and paired it with silver YSL Tribute sandals. Antwoine chose a white Hugo Boss dress shirt, light blue suit by Neiman Marcus and a pair of cognac brown loafers by Magnanni. Both outfits not only complemented each other well they also matched the picturesque Parisian setting.

A Final Word
Overall, our Parisian photo session with Ophélie was personable, fun and easy and to anyone hesitating over whether or not to go for an engagement photoshoot I’d say go for it every time.”
