Marah, wearing a beautiful Justin Alexander gown, got married to Allan with the wedding theme “Apple Blossom Time”.
The Love Story
Believe it or not, Mr and Mrs Robinette met each other at their workplace, which is no other than the Robinette farm. Marah met Allan on her second day of work back in 2012 and little did she know that he will become her future husband. How cute is that? Allan proposed to Marah when he brought her on a date to Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. The proposal happened in front of a beautiful, towering Christmas tree.
The couple were engaged for two and a half years before they had their wedding and this gave them enough time to fully think about how their wedding will be like and also time for them to find the right vendors and the perfect dress. Turns out, it is one of the most dreamy weddings we have seen!
He’s sweet and caring, I know he’ll stick by my side through the bad times.”
The Justin Alexander Gown
Marah’s wedding gown is from Justin Alexander, one of our vendors we love. She has always set her eyes on getting the most voluminous dress available and after trying on a total of 84 dresses, she finally found this one by Justin Alexander, from Renee Austin Bridal. Her gown is a silk dupion ball gown with plunging v-Neckline and keyhole back. Made of organza and silk, it is a timeless gown with a chapel length train and satisfies Marah’s vision of her dream dress.
Inspired by vintage fashions from the 1950s and 1960s, Justin Alexander embodies a classic, refined, and timeless feel. Rich fabrications with hand-crafted details create an effortless elegance with a touch of Old Hollywood glamour.”
The Wedding Details
The couple imagined a wedding that is simple, elegant, romantic and full of joy. Since their wedding is in May, Marah thought the theme of ‘Apple Blossom Time’ was perfect for the wedding! Check out their stunning wedding photos for a better representation of this theme. After their solemnisation at Kuyper College Church, they had their reception at University Club of Grand Rapids, which offers panoramic city views and their top-notch staff and service added spectacular touches to their reception. To Marah, the best part of this wedding was marrying her best friend, followed by the screening of their wedding video to all their guests. It was a magical moment for everyone, especially those that were not able to attend the solemnisation.
“You only get married once, hence enjoy yourself and take it all in!”
We wish Marah and Allan a blissful and happy married life ahead and to all brides-to-be out there, you might be stressed during this wedding planning journey, but we hope you will be able to enjoy every moment of it!
