Thinking of a pre-wedding shoot but have no idea what are some of the scenic destinations? Alicia and Douglas’ engagement shoot at New Zealand by OneThreeOneFour might be able to give you some ideas to explore!
Alicia & Douglas’ love story
The couple used to be classmates in Secondary school. However, they did not pay much attention to one another until many years later and Facebook was their matchmaker. They started talking on Facebook and this was how their love blossomed. Douglas proposed to Alicia during their trip to Seoul at Nami Island. The couple shares a sweet relationship together and their love for each other illuminates through their pre-wedding photographs.
“What I love most about Douglas is that he always prioritise me and makes me feel important and cherished.” – Alicia
“What I love about Alicia is her honesty, be it towards me as a person or our relationship, I know that she always has our best interests at heart.” – Douglas

The shoot in New Zealand
New Zealand is a place well-known for its picturesque scenery, the perfect place if you want to go somewhere with peace and tranquillity. Moreover, if you are someone that loves nature and animals, we can’t see why you will not want to go to New Zealand. These are some of the simple reasons why New Zealand fits the bill perfectly for Alicia and Douglas’ pre-wedding photoshoot. For their shoot, they visited some stunning places namely Lake Pukaki, snow-capped Mount Cook and the adorable Alpaca farm in Queenstown.

Advice for Newly Engaged Couples
For newly engaged couples, speaking from their personal experiences, Alicia and Douglas suggest starting your wedding planning early. Not only that, you have to always factor in the extra budget just in case something happens and it is highly likely for you to exceed your initial budget. It is also important to stay open-minded with each other’s suggestions, do lots of research and try not to jump to conclusions. Start early so you have plenty of time for research!
Lastly, always remember to celebrate every milestone together and compromise, love and cherish each other. May all the newly engaged couples out there have a fun planning process and an amazing wedding!
