Romantic couple weds in Norman’s surrounded by beautiful hues of fall, think rustic browns, orange dahlias and green oaks.
Rachel and Andrew met each other at a hostel in San Francisco when both of them were travelling around California with their friends. They soon fell in love and became best friends with each other. After being engaged for 18 months, they decided to tie the knot in October at Norman’s, which is one of the most unique country wedding venues in Yorkshire. Their wedding was picturesque and the true definition of Autumn.
I can’t imagine spending my life with anyone else. He brings out the best in me and supports me to be me.
The Wedding Gown
Rachel began her gown search thinking that she wanted to find something simple. However, after trying on her second wedding gown, which turned out to be the one she chose in the end, she realized that she actually wanted a piece that is more dramatic. After trying on this dress, she went on to try others but none of them seems to be the one she was looking for and she kept thinking back about the second dress. It was an exquisite full laced long sleeved open-back gown from Watters Wtoo, altered to fit Rachel perfectly. The design of the dress also complemented their idea of a simple and informal wedding where their guests could relax and have fun.
More About the Wedding
The couple chose Norman’s because it was beautiful and laid back at the same time, not only that, it was near Rachel’s home and she could get ready at home with her bridesmaids before the wedding. The rustic interior, the fairy light cascades, the dahlias, roses, oaks as well as the scrumptious cakes prepared by Rachel’s best friend from university – Gayle Russel, all added magical touches to this Autumn wedding. Not to mention how Clock Dandelion, the wedding stylist, took care of table decorations to floral displays and hand bouquets and transformed the venue to exactly how the couple imagined.
Thanks to good weather, guests of the wedding could spend time and have drinks outside, paired with Yorkshire sourced antipasti sharing boards, buttermilk chicken/flat iron steak with mac & cheese and a range of salads, lemon posset.
Gayle’s boyfriend chopped down the wooden boards from his farm! She then decorated the cakes using flowers from Clock Dandelion.
As for future brides, the one and only advice are truly to enjoy the day, it will pass by so quickly so it is important to take all the moments in, soak it all up and remember the feelings felt during the day.
