The Sweet Couple
Renee and Ambrose met at a music festival back in 2010 when Renee was 16 years old. After being together for 7 years, Ambrose decided that it was the right time for them to tie the knot and he proposed to Renee at the place where they had their first date. Leading her down a candle-lit passage to a private oasis, Ambrose got down on one knee and asked for Renee’s hand in marriage. After engaging for 1.5 years, they held their big day at Summergrove Estate, one of the best spots for a wedding in Australia.
The Wedding Gown
Renee’s wedding gown, a piece from ‘Made with Love’ bridal and she had tried on several others from the same brand before deciding on this dress. Her dress – ‘Ella’, is a full lace gown with a long train and think straps. It is the perfect gown for an intimate ceremony of no more than 100 people. It is a beautiful gown and Renee could move around gracefully. Before the ceremony, the photographer managed to capture Renee’s ‘first look’ with her parents, and it was heartwarming.
A strong relationship takes a lot of work, I think that’s where a lot of couples fall down – thinking that loving each other is enough. You really have to dedicate the time and effort to make sure you don’t lose that spark.
The Intimate Wedding at Summergrove Estate
Renee envisioned a simple wedding that is timeless and elegant. Only simple decorations were needed to make the venue pop as it was stunning already. Renee and Ambrose kept the venue in mind after attending one of their friends’ wedding a few years back. They went back to view it during their wedding planning later on. To their surprise, apart from spectacular views, Summergrove Estate newly renovated a chapel and barn, which is perfect for their wedding. Renee and Ambrose used peonies and roses in white/blush/creams and pinks for their wedding and the bride’s bouquet, accompanied by greenery and vines in the chapel – a refreshing and clean look!
Designed with relaxation, romance & lifestyle in mind, the unique hinterland charm of Summergrove Estate is guaranteed to create a lasting impression of your wedding day. The magnificent outlook from our grounds create infinite photo opportunities to capture those precious moments forever.” – Summergrove Estate
Renee’s mom made the wedding cake, which was a white chocolate mud cake with pale pink buttercream icing. Decorated with the same style of flowers as their bouquets and a gold mirror cake topper “Mr and Mrs”, it complements the simple and elegant wedding style perfectly. Renee DIY-ed decorations of the wedding banquet using various sized glass cylinders and candles.
I spent most of my morning worried about being late or things not happening on time. Just take a breath and remember what the day is all about because trust me – when you see your partner standing at the end of the aisle, all your worries will disappear.”
