We are all in for a chic destination wedding at one of the world’s most romantic city, Paris. Read on to find out more about the Australian couple, Leah & Grant’s beautiful wedding in a Parisian chateau.
About the Couple
Leah and Grant have been friends since their teenage years and started dating officially after their high school graduation. They have been together ever since. On a surprise trip to Venice, Grant decided that it would be the best time for the proposal. Even though the proposal did not go as planned according to Grant, Leah remembers it as the best night of that trip. To top it off, a passer-by gave them a huge bouquet of red roses after witnessing the cute proposal.
We kicked off the celebrations with a welcome picnic at the Eiffel Tower, and besides our wedding day, that will be a day that we will remember forever, it was so much fun and the true definition of ‘Aussies in Paris’.
Destination Wedding Planning
The Australian couple decided to fly to the land of Romance, Paris, for their wedding. With the help of Billy, the wedding planner and stylist of Luxe x Billy Folchetti, their wedding planning was a breeze and they truly enjoyed the incredible journey.
Billy, who took on multiple roles for Leah & Grant’s wedding, is one of the most talented and professional wedding planners one can dream of. He was the planner for the whole wedding, the stylist that brought the venue to life through florals and lastly, the celebrant that stood with the couple and married them to each other.
The Dream Vendors
Leah was blessed to have had the opportunity to work with outstanding vendors which transformed her vision into reality and her wedding was really a dream come true. Linas the photographer has a style that radiates elegance and romance, he produces editorial-like photos that truly encapsulates the Parisian chic of Leah & grant’s wedding.
I had always wanted a tight-fitting mermaid style dress with an extravagant overskirt that I could remove towards the end of the night.’
The Dream Dress
Leah found her dream dress from Pallas Couture in Sydney. She had always envisioned a tight-fitting mermaid dress with an extravagant overskirt which she could remove to create two looks. Her gown is made up of a hand-beaded bodice of crystals and lace, flowing out into a very long tulle train. The lace and crystal details are also visible in the overskirt. The different types of tulles of the skirt also added a dramatic touch to the finishing. The gown took approximately six appointments in Sydney to achieve perfection, which Leah had to fly in for.
The amount of love and happiness in that room was something we will remember forever.
The Wedding Day
Leah & Grant had a wedding in Château Bouffémont, the epitome to a Parisian chateau. It was able to accommodate all their closest friends and family, extending their celebration to the next day. The wedding theme was Parisian chic, with classic black and white as the main colours and subtle touches of gold and blush in the linen and crockery. Leah jokes that she is extremely particular when it comes to styling. Nevertheless, Billy was the perfect planner anyone can ask for because he executed her vision to perfection.
Advice to brides-to-be
As cliché as it may sound, Leah’s advice to future brides-to-be is to enjoy every moment. The day will pass by really quickly and it will be a pity if you end up worrying instead of enjoying it! In fact, Leah said if there is one thing she wants to change, it will be to start the day earlier so they could have enjoyed it for longer.
