Romantic Fairy Tale Wedding

This romantic wedding is what every fairy tale is made of, from the big white bespoke ball gown traced with pearls, crystals, embroideries and tulles to a grand ballroom, tiara and of course the man of her dreams!

Devina and Andy met each other in High school 10 years ago when they shared a class one spring. From passing notes to holding hands, their love blossomed and they have been together since, supporting each other throughout the journey. Their reception and ceremony were held at the hotel, Millennium Biltmore, which happened to be the same hotel where they had their High school prom 10 years ago. How memorable is that – dancing together as teenagers and having their first dance at the same place 10 years later?

The first dance was our favorite moment from the day. It was such an emotional moment. It felt as if the world stopped turning and it was just the two of us dancing the night away

The Proposal

Andy popped the big question on their anniversary at a Steakhouse in West Hollywood, the same restaurant where they had their first dinner together back in their college years. When the waiter surprised Devina with wine and two bouquets of roses, she turned around and saw Andy go down on one knee to pull out the ring box. It was totally unexpected as Devina thought they were just celebrating their anniversary then and Andy did not seem like someone that would go all out and plan something in advance.

“Knowing that he’s not naturally a good planner, he’s more of a winging it types of a person, I am amazed at how well he planned this proposal!”

The Wedding Gown

Devina had always wanted a white classy ball gown with off-shoulder and lace accents as her wedding dress. Her wedding gown was a made-to-order dress by a family designer from her hometown, Karma Gyalpo, which her family had been in business with for quite a while. The end result of multiple phone and video calls across the globe is a dress traced with pearls, crystals, embroideries, and tulles. A style that hopefully will never fade as time goes by.

What do you love most about your partner?

Devina:

What I love the most about him is his ability to consistently make me feel exclusive at all times. He makes me feel special and loved. I also adore his honesty and trustworthiness. Andy is the most passionate and optimistic person I’ve ever met, and a man that I can constantly learn from. He works so hard to be good at what he does and to show people that he cares.

Andy:

It’s hard to choose just one, I love everything about her. Devina is the purest human being I have ever met. Not only is she smart, kind, beautiful, considerate, and compassionate, she also gave me reasons to love, to live, to smile, and to hope. From the very first time I saw her until now, there is no doubt that she’s my greatest happiness. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t because of her.

Advice for future brides and grooms

When asked what is the most important piece of advice that she will give to couples, Devina mentioned it is to never take each other for granted and important to appreciate and respect each other and be willing to compromise.

As for advice and tips on wedding planning, it is definitely to start planning early. The first to-do list would be to get a rough guest list numbers and find the perfect venue accordingly. It will be good if you can get help from family and friends since there will be so many things to prepare. However, always remember to take a step back and relax in between as wedding planning can be stressful.

Always remember the most important meaning of a wedding – it’s marrying the love of your life!
