The Bahamas

For the ultimate beach wedding destination, look no further than the Bahamas. The Bahamas are made up of over 700 picturesque islands. Each of these islands is surrounded by coral sand beaches and crystal-clear waters. However, only a handful of the country’s scenic islands offer wedding services. Paradise, Nassau, Freeport, Grand Bahama Island, and the Out Islands are the most popular areas. With an array of luxury hotels and venues suitable for wedding celebrations on each, we are not surprised that they made the list.

The posh Rosewood Baha Mar is one of the newest and most talked-about properties on Nassau, known for its luxury spa, private beach, and upscale event spaces.  Lastly, don’t forget about the Exumas, a chain of Bahamian islands that boast unspoiled natural beauty. They do not boast the same wedding-friendly amenities as the other islands. However, they are home to the Instagram-famous Pig Beach (pictured above) and serve as an excellent spot for a relaxing honeymoon.

Portugal

From the dramatic beaches of the Algarve to the colourful rooftops of Lisbon, there is nowhere in Europe quite like Portugal. Thus, it’s no surprise that this Iberian country has quickly risen to become one of the most popular destination wedding spots on the continent. Not only is it inexpensive and convenient to travel to, but it boasts a wide range of wedding venues for couples looking to tie the knot. From beachside ceremonies to a reception held on the terrace of a private villa, there are options that suit all. And of course, Portugal is known for its wine, which is why many people choose to celebrate their love at a winery. L’AND Vineyards Resort, with its sophisticated decor, world-renowned architecture, and combination of indoor and outdoor event spaces, is one of our favourites.
