Maria and Mario celebrated their love in the place where they first met. Their romantic beach wedding in Mexico was a dream come true. Keep reading to learn more about their breathtaking destination wedding.
About the Couple
Maria and Mario’s wedding has been a long time coming, as the couple first met in Acapulco, Mexico 15 years ago! According to Maria, Mario was her first love. She was in awe of his sense of humour and his infectious laugh.
When it came time to propose, Mario planned something Maria would never forget. He popped the question while the pair were visiting a beautiful tropical island called Isla Pasion, near Cancun, Mexico. They were walking across a bridge at the time when all of a sudden Mario got down on one knee and asked Maria to marry him. She said yes of course, and she later discovered that he had arranged for her whole family to meet them there as yet another surprise.
Tropical Beach Wedding
Since Maria works as a honeymoon travel designer, she knows a lot about weddings and honeymoons. Thus, she knew exactly what she wanted for her own wedding, which was to get married on the beach. “Tropical beach wedding” was the theme of the day, and choosing the location was a no-brainer for the couple. They wanted to tie the knot in the place where they first met, Acapulco. They opted for an intimate wedding with a small guest count and found the perfect venue right on the water. In fact, the ceremony took place at the end of a boardwalk right on top of the turquoise blue ocean. The entire boardwalk was lined with fresh white flowers and at the end was an arbour made of twisted branches and more white flowers. It was as ethereal as can be.

The Bride Wore Inbal Dror
Maria wore a stunning wedding dress by Israeli fashion designer Inbal Dror. She has been a fan of the designer for a long time. When she started making a Pinterest wedding dress mood board, this gown was one of the first she came across. She fell in love, and for good reason! The A-line gown featured a delicate lace overlay and lace train, bow details on the shoulders, and best of all, pockets! Needless to say, the bride looked absolutely gorgeous on her wedding day. To top it off, she accessorized with diamond drop earrings that belonged to her mother and a trailing headpiece. She also carried an oversized bouquet of greenery and white flowers.
Advice to Newly-Engaged Couples
Maria’s advice to newly-engaged couples out there is to remember the honeymoon. Too often couples get caught up in wedding planning and forget all about the vacation afterwards. As a honeymoon travel designer, Maria urges couples to take the honeymoon to enjoy and reconnect after the stress of the wedding. Enjoy every moment of the vacation!
