Victorian Dream:
quintessential romantic style shoot
at Rippon Lea Estate

Posted on 0 2 m read

Inspired by the Australian film, ‘Picnic at Hanging Rock’, and shot at the heritage site Rippon Lea Estate, this styled shoot is a reminiscence of the 1900s with its light colours, blush tones and flowy gowns.

In 1897, the conservatory was moved to its current location so that the exotic plants on display inside it could be enjoyed by those in the drawing-room.

Rippon Lea Estate

With the shoot taking inspiration from the Victorian era, Rippon Lea Estate seemed like a perfect venue for the shoot. The scenes from the shoot were captured in the ‘Drawing Room’, ‘Conservatory’ and ‘Pool Area’ from the mansion, while the outdoor scenes were captured within the 14 acres of gardens within the estate. From sitting in the drawing-room, playing with the piano, the couple went out to the poolside and finally the garden for a picnic. Tranquillity and blissfulness shows throughout this shoot, imagine having such a relaxed wedding in the mansion.

Gown by L’ETO Bridal

Out in the garden, the bride changed into ‘Piece 20’ gown by L’ETO Bridal. The ivory silk gown is fluid and features pleated angel wing sleeves, romantic and dreamy! Natural and innocent-looking makeup paired with classic pearl drop earrings and vintage style engagement rings. Together, everything was soft and subtle, a pleasure for the eyes.

The skirt balances modernity and femininity with ease, and let the gentle volume of the gown envelop you like a loving caress as you walk down the aisle.
